Founder, Association of Better Nigeria, Arthur Nzeribe Dies At 83

A prominent Nigerian politician, Senator Arthur Francis Nzeribe is dead.

Nzeribe who was founder of Association for a Better Nigeria, ABN, which played a prominent role in the annulment of June 12 presidential election won by M. K. O Abiola, died at the age of 83 on Sunday, May 8.

He represented Oguta Senatorial constituency, Imo State between October 1983 and December 1983.

He was also a Senator on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) between 1999 and 2007.

Arthur Nzeribe was born on 2 November 1938 in Oguta, Imo state, Nigeria.

He studied Marine engineering. In 1960, he was selling life insurance to black immigrants in Britain. When he returned to Nigeria, he briefly worked for Shell, thereafter, he worked for Gulf oil.

Arthur Nzeribe is a multi billionaire investment mogul that founded the Sentinel assurance and other companies.
