Ahead of the 2023 general elections, Nigerian women in all strata of the society have been charged to assume their rightful position in nation building.

Chairperson, Itire-Ikate LCDA, Alhaja Sidikat Olamide Apatira gave the charge at an event organised by the Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) Department at the council secretariat on Thursday.

She disclosed that women possess greater positive influence in nation building as well as in their individual home and community.

She however urged the womenfolk who, according to her, constitute greater percentage of the country’s population to synergise and deploy their strength and influence to drive candidates of the All Progressives (APC) to victory in the forthcoming elections for good governance.

Consequently, Apatira urged participants who are yet to collect their permanent voters card to do so, adding, “I urge you all to collect your PVCs so as to massively vote for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other candidates of the party come 2023 general elections.
