Itire-Ikate, Coker Aguda LCDAs Host Town Hall Meeting With House Of Reps Speaker, Gbajabiamila

The Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate LCDA, Hon. (Dr) Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira and his counterpart in Coker-Aguda LCDA, Hon. Razak Ibrahim Olamilekan, on Saturday hosted the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila at a town Hall meeting in Surulere Constituency 2.

The meeting, according to the duo, was held to strategize and galvanise support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu re-election bid of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other candidates of the party.

While commending the Speaker for his numerous life transformative infrastructural and people oriented projects in the constituency and across the state, Hon Apatira urged the constituents that are yet to claim their Permanent Voter Cards to do and to continue to enjoy meaningful governance and projects from the party.

He said, “As the 2023 gathers momentum, its obvious that Surulere constituents are gearing up to the electioneering tasks as evident by the turnout at this town hall meeting.

We are one in Surulere Constituency 2 and I urge us all to continue to allow love reign supreme because it is only in love our collective goals can be achieved.

Like I have saying at every forum, we have to equip ourselves with our PVCs as it is the only tool we require for our voice to be heard in the forthcoming election.

I want to urge those of us that are yet to collect their voter cards to go to the INEC office for the collection.

Also we have to embark on House to house campaign to spread the gospel of renewed hope and greater Lagos rising to the people.

This election is ours by the grace of God and we have to deliver massively to our national leader and presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and also return Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for another term as governor of the state, Hon. Mosunmola Rotimi Lagos House of Assembly constituency 2 and Hon. Lanre Okunola for APC House of Representatives.

This is the much we can do as loyal party members. May God grant us the wisdom and strength to make positive impacts.”

Addressing the gathering, visibly elated Speaker, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila commended the constituents, party leaders and members for turning out en-masse for the meeting.

He however called on them to go and get their PVCs, to enable them participate and vote for candidates of the party in the 2023 general election.

He said collection of the PVCs to vote is a civic responsibility of every citizen while also promising the constituents more infrastructural and people oriented projects.

Present at the event were, Surulere APC Apex Leader, Chief D.O Adenekan, Coker-Aguda APC Apex Leader, Alhaja Omobolanle Akinyemi Obe, Itire-Ikate and Coker-Aguda APC LGA chairmen, Executive Chairman of Surulere Local government, Hon. Sulaiman Bamidele Yusuf, Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Mr. Wasiu Olanrewaju Smart, commissioner, Local government service commission, Hon. Hakeem Adisa Bamgbola, Executive Secretary, Lagos State Security Trust Fund, LSSTF, Hon. Abdulrazak Mobolaji Balogun.

Councillors of Itire-Ikate and Coker-Aguda legislative arm, cabinet members from Itire-Ikate and Coker-Aguda LCDA, party executives, Artisans, Market leaders, Youth Organizations, CDA/CDCs, community stakeholders, religious leaders, party members among others.
