Council Boss Donates Baby's Items, Cash Gift As Otumara Health Centre Delivers First Set Of Babies

…..Council Boss and Community leader donated baby items and Cash Gift to parents.

It was a delightful Thursday afternoon when the Lagos Mainland Local Government team under the leadership of Hon. Mrs Raheedat Omolola Essien paid a courtesy visit to the new newly built Otumara Community Health Center Ebute-metta west, to felicitate with Doctors and Nurses at the Primary health center as they delivered the first set of babies at the Government owned PHC.

The Council boss in the company of the vice chairman, Alhaji Emilagba Jubril, Council HOA, Mr Olusegun Ajagunna, MoH, Dr Ubani, Otumara community leader, High Chief Kehinde Kalejaiye , Supervisor for health, Mr Jamiu Makanjuola, leader of the house, Hon Ogunseye Mutiu to mention just a few met with the mothers of the first set babies at the PHC, Mrs Chioma Ifeanyi whom according to the nurses was delivered of a baby around 2:45am and Mrs Kazeem delivered of another beautiful girl at around 7am on Thursday 9th of May 2019.

While presenting baby items and cash gift to the mothers, the Chairman in her entertaining nature named one of the babies after her. She joked : And this child shall be called Rasheedat to the amusement of the crowd at the community health center.

Speaking on the reason for the philanthropic act, High Chief Kalejaiye said “It is about service to the community and humanity. Like I said earlier, it is to appreciate the State and Local Government administrators. I also see this as my responsibility to the community which by God’s grace I am the head.

Meanwhile, the mother of the first baby, Mrs Chioma Ifeanyi was full of joy and appreciation to the Chairman, Mrs Omolola and the Baale for their generosity and kind-hardheartedness.
She said since he became the head of the community, High Chief Kalejaiye has given more to the community through his selfless services and philanthropic acts.
Mrs Ifeanyi however prays to God to continue to bless the Local Government, the Chairman and other council members and not forgetting the High Chief in wealth, wisdom and sound health because they all deserved it with all they have done to the community.
