Lagos Assembly Passes VAT, Anti-Open Grazing Bills

The Lagos State House of Assembly has passed the Value Added Tax, VAT and the anti-open grazing bills consequent to the public hearings on the bills held o  Wednesday.

The Obasa- led assembly passed the bills after unanimous votes by lawmakers.

Speaking after the passage of the bills, Speaker of the House, Rt Hon. Mudashiru Obasa applauded the lawmakers for the commitment and passion displayed that led to the passage of the bills.

“I commend your passion to see that the state continues to grow. I thank you all for this historic exercise,” he said.

Obasa then directed the Acting Clerk of the House, Olalekan Onafeko, to transmit a clean copy to the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for assent.
