No fewer than ten commercial bus passengers have suffered varying degreee of burns with the driver of the bus dead as a truck loaded with petrol spilled its contents in Oke Afa in Oshodi-isolo LCDA in Lagos state.
The incident newsexplorersng.com gathered has brought a heavy traffic gridlock to the axis as commuters and other road-users are stranded on the road while others trek to their various destination.
According to an eyewitnesses at the scene of the incident, a truck loaded with premium motor spirit spilled its content earlier in the afternoon, and they made frantic efforts to contact the Lagos State Fire Service as well as other emergency service agencies but their effort at getting them to avert what has happened now proved abortive.
Tragedy however struck when a 14-seater commercial bus that was navigating it’s way around the scene caught fire as a result of smoke from the bus exhaust pipe.
The casualty figure according to a resident is put at 10 who were in the bus and sustained various degrees of burns and have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
