Popular Drug Baroness, Toyin Igbira Dies Of Breast Cancer

Popular drug baroness and socialite, Monsurat Oloruntoyin known in the Lagos social circle as Toyin Igbira is dead.

Toyin Igbira who was married to a senior police officer, Kehinde Oyenuga died on Friday of illness suspected to be breast cancer after a long term battle with the disease.

The deceased was a prominent figure in the Lagos social circle in the 80’s and 90’s with popular Fuji music star singing her praises.

The Kogi-born socialite was in conflict with the drug law 1989 when she was arrested and jailed by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA for drug trafficking.

She died at a private hospital in Surulere area of Lagos State at the age of 56.
