Sanwo-Olu To Receive NMNA Best Governor Infrastructure

The stage is set for the 2021 edition of the 15th edition of the annual Nigeria Media Nite out award billed to hold September 19.
For this year’s edition, Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwolu is voted for as best Governor, infrastructure.
The governor, in an opinion poll which rated his effectiveness in the provisions of infrastructure and dividends of democracy to the people of Lagos and Nigeria at large emerged tops among other governors.
Consequently, in recognition of his exemplary leadership and contribution to the media industry, Governor Sanwo-Olu would be conferred with the award of Media BEST INFRASTRUCTURE GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR during this year’s edition.
The Governor would be receiving the award for how he has turned the face of Lagos State in terms of infrastructure since his assumption of office in 2019.
Others to be honored at the event alongside Sanwo-Olu include Governors of Kogi, Zamfara, Osun, Cross Rivers, Kano and a host of other prominent Nigerians.
Speaking on behalf of the organisers, Director of Media and publicity for NMNA, Mr. Ajibade Alabi, stated that the Governors would use the platform to address the press on their developmental strategies and achievements in the last two years.
Alabi, who disclosed that the 15th edition of the award would be held on the 19th of September in Lagos, stated that the awardees were picked for their dexterity and dedication, as well as their outstanding contributions in various sectors of the economy.
According to him, the award is Initially, programmed for July in Zamfara State as Lagos has been the host since its inception.
He stated that the organisers intend to go with winners accompanied by some selected top Journalists and Editors to inspect the State Government’s projects. In spite of the change in location, the glitz, glamour, and paparazzi that the award is associated with will not be taken away.
The organizers, however, informed that if the security situation of the country improves, the highly anticipated event might be hosted in the North next year.
Meanwhile the survey rated governors effectiveness on handling the Covid19 Pandemic, Security, Infrastructure, Economy, Political sagacity, humility and environment/ Waste management.
