Wife Bathe Husband With Hot Water While Asleep

Men of the Ogun State police command have arrested a housewife , Ramota Bello, for allegedly killing her husband, Saliu Bello.
Spokesman for the command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Thursday disclosed that the suspect was arrested on Feb. 21.
According to Oyeyemi, a brother to the victim reported the incident at Lafenwa Divisional Headquarters , Abeokuta.
He explained that the sad incident occured on Feb.12 when the suspect who had a minor disagreement with her husband boiled a pot of water and poured it on her husband who was asleep causing him a grievous bodily harm.
“The victim was quickly rushed to hospital for treatment, but gave up the ghost on Feb. 13 while on treatment.
“The suspect having realised the gravity of the crime fled the scene.
“The case was not initially reported to the police until Feb.21 when the suspect was sighted in her hideout.
“Upon the report, the DPO, Lafenwa division, CSP Kayode Shadrach, quickly detailed his detectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole , has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to homicide section of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation and diligent prosecution.
