2023: Get Your PVC, Familiarise With Your Polling Unit, Lagos Deputy Speaker, Eshinlokun Advices Electorate

The Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Lagos Central Senatorial candidate on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon Wasiu Eshinlokun, has advised the electorate to get their permanent voter cards and familiarise themselves with the location of the polling units ahead of the 2023 general elections.
He gave the advice while addressing stakeholders and members of the party in Surulere Constituency 11 on their responsibilities at the polling units on election day.
Eshinlokun, who was represented at the meeting by the Chairman, Itire-Ikate LCDA, Hon. Dr. Ahmed Apatira, said, voters must ensure they vote for the All Progressives Congress, APC, and complete the voting process correctly before leaving their respective polling units.
“I welcome you all to this important gathering. I am imploring us to get ready our PVCs to be able to vote in the coming election. We also need to know the polling units we are going to vote.
This is not time to pay lip services to election matters. We have to play our parts and ensure we drive our party, the All Progressives Congress and its candidates to victory come 2023.
The journey to that victory starts with us now with the collection of our permanent voter cards.
If you want to sustain the development strides in Lagos state under the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s led All Progressives Congress government and also usher in Asiwaju Bola Tinubu presidency for a prosperous Nigeria, then we all have to do what is right.
And doing what is right entails collection of our permanent voter cards and coming out on the day of the election to vote for candidates of our party in 2023.
I hope our youths are represented here today. I had a meeting with our youths and we had an understanding but here are our youths not fulfilling the responsibilities given to them. And they will be complaining about the leadership whereas they are culpable.
We have to be prepared for the coming election. There is no sentiment in election. We don’t dwell on favouritism or nepotism.
I won’t say because I am a brother to Hon Eshinlokun, if I don’t merit a task, I have to step aside to allow it to be handled by a more competent person because all we want for the party is victory.
I am therefore appealing to every one of us to work for the success of the party by campaigning for its candidates when it’s starts officially on September 28. May we reap all our labour on the party, Apatira said.”
