FUMCI presents Impact Awards to Honor Corporate, Individual supporters

Akin Olayemi

A foremost Islamic charity organisation, Faith Unites Muslims Charity Initiatives (FUMCI) has honored selected individuals and corporate bodies who have impacted positively on the organisation since its inception.

Tagged, FUMCI Impact Award, the award which was held low-keyed, according to its Amir, Ustadh AbdulMuiz Zubayr, was designed to motivate and appreciate awardees for their commitment and contributions to the propagation of Islam.

Speaking on the award, Amir Zubayr said, “The ‘FUMCI Impact Award’ was conceived in 2020 to appreciate loyalty and commitment of some of our members and donors. It is to celebrate and appreciate supporters of FUMCI brand for choosing to promote charitable cause, Islamic education, values and ideals through the sponsorship of our programmes at Faith Unites Muslims Charity Initiatives.

This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of this category of people who Allah has sent to help His cause through us. Interestingly, this year 2021, FUMCI is eight years and to celebrate our eight year anniversary, we are giving out Impact Awards of honor to eight distinguished personalities.

We are appreciating them with the award and tasking them to do more. We intend to celebrate these unique personalities in grand style but for us not to violate the safety protocols of the Lagos State Government on the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to go low-keyed. Therefore, the awards were presented low-keyed to the awardees in their private space and offices.

For the 2021 FUMCI Impact Award, awardees cut across the legal profession, religion and the business circle. They include our highly revered Islamic scholar and FUMCI Life Patron, Sheikh Mubashir Abdurazak Woleola Afaakaala, a legal luminary, Barrister Shina Sofola (SAN), business tycoons, Alhaji Salman Sharafadeen, Alhaji Maruf Adewunmi (Abbey Clothing), Owosheni Venture, Alhaji Abubakar Edu, Alhaji and Alhaja Oyewole, Alhaji and Alhaja Toyin Ahmad and Bro Jamiu Akeredolu family. We pray Allah continue to strengthen them to continue to promote His cause.”
