2019 Elections: Ifa Priest counsels electorate to vote wisely

The Chief Odofin Awo Agbaye of Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria, Chief Adesola Taiwo Alawode has counselled electorate to vote wisely in the forthcoming general elections urging them to resist the temptation of casting their votes for candidates of questionable antecedents in the society.
The United States based Ifa Priest advised “It is time we reject political candidates who are only known with posters and who are not known by their good conduct and enviable records in their community.”
Addressing thousands of Ifa worshippers who stormed Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria from United States of America and other part of the country, the Odofin Awo Agbaye revealed that most of the candidates currently canvassing for votes are liars and fraudsters adding that the voters should screen them and know their antecedents before voting for them
The Ifa Priest added “Ifa deity detests falsehood. Our concern is about these discredited politicians who falsely get into power by deceit. No wonder their morbid ambition to protect their interests against the entire masses.”
Chief Taiwo Alawode however recommends a new way of swearing in of the new public officers into office stressing that the use of Holy Quran and holy Bible have not instilled fear in the hearts of looters of the nation’s treasury.
“If Ifa Priest, Sango and Obatala are involved in swearing in public officers into office,the new leaders would know the negative and disastrous effect of reneging on their electioneering promises made before they were voted for and oaths swore to because of the instant judgement of god’s wraths on corrupt leaders.
He condemned the wide spread discrimination against believers of Ifa pointing out that the wise ones among our politicians know the need to consult ifa oracles on sensitive matters where Spiritual directions are needed
“One of the governorship candidates in Oyo State has consulted us and we told him that he has a good credential and Ifa told us that he would win.Ironically,some of the people working for him are double dealing.If eventually he won, he has to be careful with those unpatriotic elements.
The entire members in a prayer led by their leader interceded for the country that peace should reign in the troubled spots like Borno,Adamawa Yobe and other states in the North East where insecurity is being felt.They also prayed for the peaceful conduct of these elections
