Traditional ruler of Otumara community in the Lagos Mainland Local Government of Lagos State, High Chief Kehinde Kalejaiye hailed the governor of the state, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu as he turns 57 on June 25.
The traditional ruler in his special birthday message to Governor Sanwo-Olu commended the celebrant for his exemplary and quality leadership while also appreciating him for the enrolment of 5000 indigent and vulnerable Lagosians in the Ilera Eko Social Health Plan scheme.
Under the scheme, beneficiaries will have access to quality health care services and drugs free of cost.
While commending the compassionate spirit of Governor Sanwo-Olu, Kalejaiye identified diabetes and hypertension as two killer diseases many Lagosians are afflicted with.
With the birthday largesse, he said, many Lagosians will have quality care to manage these diseases and more at no cost.
He added, “I hailed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as a hero of good governance and a compassionate leader with a golden heart.
As he celebrates another birthday on the land of the living, I pray he continue to experience comfort in all of his endeavours.
If I am not mistaken, last year, our amiable Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu celebrated his birthday with children at the Orphanage Homes. But this year, he chose to identify with some Lagosians with health challenges by providing them with quality care and drugs free of cost.
This is the hallmark of a good leader, a leader that has the love of the masses at heart.
I pray for more wisdom and abundant grace of Almighty God as he journey on in the course of providing excellent governance and social amenities to the good people of Lagos state.”
