Lagos Council Boss Bags Man Of the Year Award
In recognition of his exemplary leadership and contributions to the socio-economic growth of the district and its residents, the Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area, Hon. (Dr) Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira has been awarded the prestigious Itire-Ikate Community Man of the Year Award of Excellence.
The award of honour was presented to the council boss in his office on Friday by the district’s Elders’ Forum, a group comprising of men of honour and good pedigree and community leaders of repute.
During the presentation ceremony, Chairman of the Forum, Elder Adewale Olufemi Adenuga appreciated Hon. Apatira for being humane and compassionate leader while also commending him for improving on the standard of living and socio-economic status of residents in the district, especially the youths.
“May you soar higher beyond your imagination.
You are a reference point for good governance and excellent service delivery. This, among other factors, earned you this distinguished award.
From here, Abuja is your next stop where you will continue the good work of positively impacting the lives of the people of the districts and of the state in general” Elder Adenuga declared.
Reacting to the honour, visibly elated Hon. Apatira expressed his gratitude to the Elders’ Forum while promising to continue to deliver on dividends of democracy to his constituents.
He said, “I appreciate the Elders’ Forum for counting me worthy of this award of excellence. I am highly elated to be a recipient of the honour.
Our administration has good reasons for investing in infrastructural and social amenities and especially in the future of our youths to becoming more productive because our word is our bond.
This and more we will continue to do being part of our electoral promises to the good people of Itire-Ikate LCDA. Once again, I thank the Elders’ Forum for the award.”
