Apatira Tasks Lagos Safety Corps On Professionalism, Law, Order
The Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate LCDA, Hon. (Dr) Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira has urged officials of the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) to embrace professionalism as they strive to maintain law and order in the district and by extension the State.
Dr. Apatira also tasked members of the corps to double their efforts towards combating crimes and safeguarding the communities.
The council boss gave the charge while addressing the rank and file of the Safety Corps on Monday at the council secretariat.
During his inspection of parade, he charged the officials on high level of performance, while also urging them to raise the bar of security of lives and properties of residents in the council area.
He added, “The protection of lives and properties is one of the priorities of my administration hence the need for officials of the safety Corps to increase their efforts towards safeguarding the communities.
I must commend your efforts so far in ensuring peace within our communities but there is need to do more especially in the area of information and intelligence gathering which is the core of the LNSC.
We have to join forces to ensure steady and peaceful community because people and businesses can only thrive in an atmosphere where peace, security and unity reign supreme.”
The council boss however assured the safety Corps of his administration’s support and readiness to continue to partner with the safety agency in maintaining law and order and security within the district.
