Igbos are playing politics with traders’ mindset says Gov. Okorocha

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said that Igbos from the Southeast region of the country are playing politics with the mindset of traders and this according to him, is affecting their chances of producing Igbo person as the president of the country.
Okorocha made the statement at a joint rally held Wednesday by Imo state APC and AA at the Okigwe stadium in Okigwe, Imo State.
Speaking at the rally on why Igbo must vote Buhari in the Saturday election, Okorocha said no past presidents in the country love the Igbos more than President Buhari but the Igbos on their part are playing politics with the mindset of traders. They are after the monetary gain rather than securing the future of the nation politically.
He said “In previous attempt by President Buhari at the presidency, he chose Chuba Okadigbo as his running mate but he lost. Again in another attempt in 2007, Buhari chose another It go but he lost and by the time he chose Osinbajo in the 2015 election, it was this time he won because the Yorubas are smarter when it comes to politics. I am calling on all Igbos from the southeast to vote for President Buhari on February 16 as this is the surest way to Igbo presidency in 2023.”
While advising the electorate to vote wisely in the general election, Okorocha said individual Permanent Voter’s card is his/her bullet to be used to shoot out a bad leader.
Okorocha stated further that Imo indigenes should vote for the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance, Uche Nwosu as he is not only the best for Imolites, he is equally endorsed by President Buhari.
He said, “when President Buhari said we should vote for whoever that comes to your mind, what he meant was that you should vote for Uche Nwosu as the next governor of Imo State. This rally is jointly held by APC and AS to declare our support for President Buhari’s reelection bid. Therefore as you vote for him on February 16, vote for all candidates of Action Alliance for the House of Representatives, State House of Assembly and of course, the governorship seat because Action Alliance is excellent excellent.”
Governor Rochas Okorocha thereafter presented to the gathering candidates of AA urging the people to vote for them in the elections and for Presisent Buhari in the Saturday 16 election.
