Apatira Inaugurates Council Executive Members

The Executive Chairman of Itire-ikate Local Council Development Area, Hon. (Dr) Ahmed Olarenwaju Apatira, on Tuesday inaugurated a multi-ethnic 10-man executive member committee.
The council executive members comprising Secretary to the Local Government, Supervisors and Special Advisors who were on Monday screened at the hallowed chamber by the council legislative arm are to aid delivery of excellence to the good people of the district.

An exceptional record was however set by the council boss, Hon Apatira as he, out of his desire for good governance and quality leadership appointed non-Yoruba speaking representative into his cabinet.
With the appointment, Newsexplorersng.com gathered, Hon Apatira has become the first council boss in the history of Local Government administration in Lagos State and among his counterpart in the 57 Local Government and Local Council Development Areas to achieve such feat.
He has also exhibited qualities and leadership traits of a detribalised Nigerian with fixated heart for development and sterling performance and not ethnic affiliation of appointees.

Speaking exclusively to Newsexplorersng.com on the composition of his new cabinet, Apatira disclosed that quality representation and excellent leadership know no ethnic coloration or tribal sentiment.
According to him, “We are not beclouded by sentiment neither are we biased in our selection of quality representation. This informs the calibre of people in our cabinet. Itire-ikate LCDA is a multi-ethnic and multi-religious district hence we realise that we must operate an all inclusive government for us to continue to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and good governance that has been operation since we came on board.
We have been on our toes providing excellent services to the good people of Itire-ikate LCDA and with this appointment, I can assure you residents of the district are in for better days ahead in terms of infrastructure and quality leadership. That I can assure you.”
Earlier on Monday, Leader of the council legislative arm, Hon Hammed Oladipupo Idris oversaw the screening of the nominees at the council hallow chamber.
During the screening exercise, Hon. Idris urged the appointees to discharge their duties accordingly and without fear or favour.

He charged them to work assiduously to complement the efforts of the council boss, Hon. (Dr) Ahmed Apatira towards impacting positively on residents and in tandem with the manifesto of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He further urged them to see their prospective HOD’s as partners in progress.
The newly inaugurated executive members are: Hon. Kehinde Baruwa – Secretary to the Local Government, Hon Wale Oyefeso, Prince Yomi Lawrence, Mr. Angel Okoro, Hon Rasheed Amusan and Hon Niyi Akintewe.
Others include Mariam Mohammed, Funmilola Ibilola-Oke, Babatunde Lasisi and Mrs. Iyabo Pot-Balogun.
