Itire-ikate Council Boss On Inspection Tour Of Projects

As part of his commitment to bequeath an impressive infrastructural projects to his constituents,  Executive Chairman of Itire-ikate Local Council Development Area, Hon (Dr) Ahmed Apatira, on Thursday paid a scheduled visit to Oshofisan and Duro Oyedoyin Primary School to ascertain the progress of work as well as the quality of the ongoing road reconstruction.

Hon. (Dr) Apatira led members of his cabinet comprising the leader of the house, Hon Hammed Oladipupo Idris, majority leader, Hon Kazeem Alalukimba, Supervisor for Works, Hajia Mariam Muhammed and the Council Engineer, Mr. B.A. Badmus to inspect offices which are to be allocated to the newly sworn-in executive members.

Radiating confidence, gallantry and what many described as expression of confidence on his achievements so far, the council helmsman met with various artisan and women groups in the district to discuss their areas of needs.

Beginning from his first term in office as the Executive Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. (Dr.) Apatira had specifically paid attention to the socio-economic and infrastructural needs of the people of the district.

The council boss is graciously executing major infrastructural projects to the admiration of residents in the district.

These include 500 meters road network in Omilani street, completion of road in Tiwo Street in Odo-Olowu and Completion of the Second Phase of Oredola Street in Itire Community.

The Apatira led administration also facilitated numerous people oriented projects which include provision of solar powered street lights and the Agricultural Training Center which was facilitated by the speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.

For a cleaner environment, the council chairman purchased operational vehicles to the Environmental Service Department and the Revenue committee.

Further, to boost water supply and address the challenges of water shortage within the council Secretariat, Apatira constructed Mini-Water Plant.

Also in the area of education, Dr Apatira out of his magnanimity and love for education, provided polytechnic scholarship to Indigent students.

The legislative arm of the council was not left out as the council Chamber was given a facelift under the watch of the council boss just as other requests of the lawmakers were attended to prior to the year 2022 Budget presentation to the Legislative arm.
