Sanwo-Olu, Apatira Mobilize Support For Tinubu Presidency As Southwest Progressives Youth Hold Rally

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu and the Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area, Hon.(Dr) Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira have mobilised support for the actualization of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Presidency.
The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu had declared his intention to run for the presidency.
Over 1800 groups across the country, have so far declared their support for the presidency of the former Lagos State Governor.
One of such groups is the Progressives Youth of Southwest, an umbrella body of youth in the region comprising the National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN, Student Union of tertiary institutions, APC youths from all the six states of the South-West and other Ethnic nationalities.
The rally which was held at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Arena, Onikan to mobilise support for the presidency of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In his address at the rally, Governor Sanwo-Olu advised the Southwest to get their PVC and vote overwhelmingly for the former Lagos State Governor at the 2023 polls.
He promised to galvanize support from delegates at the APC Presidential Primaries slated to hold soon.
“Our Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is buoyed by the support he has so far received from the youth and he has a very firm believe in your support to make it’s ambition of becoming the next elected president of the country a reality for a better, prosperous and united Nigeria.
“We recognize the determination and energy of our young people to work for the success of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and I assure you, we do not take it for granted because it is only motivated by a higher purpose of service to the people of this great country” Governor Sanwo-Olu said.
On his part, Hon (Dr) Apatira who led the team of Progressives Youth from Itire-ikate LCDA to the rally commended the youth for their doggedness and determination to bring about positive change in the leadership of the country.
He however congratulated Nigerian youth for making the right choice by publicly declaring and endorsing Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s presidential aspiration.
The council Boss assured the gathering of the support of the youth of Itire-Ikate LCDA, noting that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the most sellable among aspirants that are contesting for the exalted office of the President.
Dr Apatira further disclosed that the template Tinubu left behind as governor of Lagos State for successive administrations has been yielding good dividends. Therefore it will not be a bad idea to transfer the template to the national level.
And this, he said has put Lagos ahead of other states of the federation.
“Asiwaju has not been able to utilize so many of the administrative and leadership skill to better the lot of Nigerians. So, as soon as he becomes the next president of the country, we shall experience a greater change than the positive once we are enjoying in Lagos” Apatira assured.
