2023: Apatira, Itire-Ikate Women Storm Onikan Stadium For Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu, Others

As the campaign for the 2023 general elections gather momentum, Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate LCDA, Hon (Dr) Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira and politically conscious women from the district, on Monday, stormed the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Onikan, Lagos, to declare their unflinching supports for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, the second term bid of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat and other candidates of the party.
The event tagged, “Lagos APC Women Walk for Tinubu” was organised by the Lagos APC women’s wing to drum up support for the electoral success of the party in 2023.
Women groups, comprising artisans, traders and other professionals from Itire-Ikate LCDA were represented as mobilised and led by the Council Boss.
He hailed the women for their massive show of support and endorsement of the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
He stressed that Itire-Ikate LCDA is fully in support of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s Presidency because he is the most sellable candidate among other aspirants for the exalted office of the President.
Dr Apatira disclosed that the template Asiwaju left behind for successive administrations in Lagos state has been yielding good dividends, saying replicating Lagos experience as the president will put the country in her rightful position.
“Asiwaju has not been able to utilize so many of his talents for the country. So, as soon as he gets there, we shall experience a greater change than the positive once we are enjoying in Lagos” he assured.
In his address, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Gov Babajide Sanwo-Olu advised all women groups and leaders in APC to get their PVC in order to vote overwhelmingly for the former Lagos State Governor at the 2023 polls.
“Our Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is buoyed by the support he has so far received by the women and he’s determined to take the mantle of leadership of Nigeria by the grace of God and the will of the people for a better, prosperous and united Nigeria.
“Myself and the Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat and other leaders of our great party in Lagos will not shy away from the determination and energy of our women to work for the success of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s presidential aspiration that is only motivated by a higher purpose of service to the people of this great country” he said.
