FUMCI to hold pre-Ramadan Medical Screening with free drugs

…Calls for supports for Iftar Project

The Faith Unites Muslims Charity Initiatives (FUMCI), a Faith based religious dawah and charity organisation has concluded all arrangement for the hosting of its annual pre- Ramadan free medical check-ups in hypertension, diabetes, malaria and treatment of throat infections with free drugs given to participants as prescribed by the medical team.
The aim of the medical screening, according to the Amir of the organisation, Ustadh AbdMuiz Z ubayr is to ensure that Muslims are prepared medical and psychologically to observe the Ramadan fast which will commence on May 6, 2019.

Amir Zubayr informed that this year’s ‘FUMCI Project Fit for Ramadan’ will hold on the 28th of April 2019 at 52, Ibadan Street Ebute meta, West, Lagos starting from 8am.
Speaking on the project, Amir Zubayr said “This year’s annual FUMCI Project Fit for Ramadan is the fifth in its series. Each year, we bring in doctors and nurses to screen participants on malaria, hypertension, diabetes and other ailments. We also provide free drugs for the ailments discovered according. This is our way of contributing to mankind. It is our way of ensuring that Muslims are medically fit to observe the Ramadan fast because it is with sound health we can worship Allah and maximise the benefits of the blessed month.

This year’s medical screening will hold on the 28th of April at 8am till 4pm at 52, Ibadan Street, Ebute Metta west Lagos .

Interestingly, the health check coincides with the organisation’s monthly lecture series tagged FUMCI Monthly Moral Clinic which holds at Idi-Aba Playground at Joseph Lambo Street Ebute Metta west starting from 4:30pm.”

While charging Muslims to increase their good deeds in the month of Ramadan, Amir Zubayr calls for supports from corporate bodies and wealthy Muslims for the organisation’s Iftar programme tagged “FUMCI Project Feed a Soul.”
He said “Apart from the medical screening which is a prelude to Ramadan, during the period of the Ramadan fast, FUMCI prepares Iftar (meals) for fasting Muslims throughout the month. In 2018, our presence is felt In six mosques within the Lagos Mainland. The project began in 2013 and since it’s inception, through the project, we have been able to cater for over 150, 000 Muslims during Ramadan fast. This year will not be an exception, we hope to cover more mosques with the support of our donors and sponsors. So, I am calling on wealthy mosques and corporate bodies to support this highly rewarding religious venture.
