Newsexplorersng.com Oyo state correspondent reported that churches in the State on Sunday June 21, adhered to the government directives as many churches placed at the entrance of their worship centres buckets of water and liquid soaps placed at the entrance for members to wash their hands before and after the service.

Speaking on the development, Chairman, Oyo state chapter, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Apostle Joshua Akinyemiju, advised worshippers to comply with government guidelines as he said, “Christians must endeavour to abide by all the government’s guidelines to that effect.

“We should remember that the Bible enjoins us in Hebrew 13:17, to obey those that have the rule over us.
“Now that government has lifted ban on religious centres with conditions attached, it behoves us, as religious leaders, to ensure absolute compliance to protect government from being blamed for its leniency.”

Similarly, Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Jesus Assembly Parish, Ibadan, Pastor Vincent Ajiboye, gives glory to God and commended the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde for its decision to lift the ban on religious activities in the state.
