Cornerstone Church To Release English Version Of Popular Yoruba Flick, Irora Agbelebu

Award winning producer of Olopa Okunkun, Ogo Abawaye, Irora Agbelebu among other exciting Christian movies, Cornerstone Outreach Church is set to reproduce the award winning movie, Irora Agbelebu, Agony Of The Cross but this time in English version.

Speaking with newsexplorersng.com recently at the church camp, Papa-Ifo, Ogun State, the producer, Pastor Abraham Olorunnimilo Ajao said on the reason behind the conversion that

“This is the first time in Africa that a movie will be distributed for free in spite of the huge amount of resources that was spent on it. God made it possible for us to do it, we distributed it all over churches in Nigeria through the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.

The movie was originally produced in Yoruba language but now we want to do the English version as God commanded us to do. The idea behind this is is for the movie to cut-across different ethnic groups in the country. We adding more flavour, and its focus is more than the Yoruba speaking audience in terms of quality and creativity.

We are preparing seriously for it because it will cost us more than the Yoruba version, we spent nothing less than 5million naira on the Yoruba version. The English version will cost more.

We are changing the entire casting, the story will also change slightly, we are looking at Akure or Lagos for the location, we want to take it to cinema, and we are looking at the month of September or Octover to launch the new version.”
