Yuletide: Senator Tinubu Distributes Cash, Material Items To Senior Citizens in Itire-Ikate LCDA

Wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Friday, distributed cash gifts and material items to the elderly in the Lagos Central Senatorial district.

The event themed, ‘Living Life to the Full’ was the 11th and the final edition of the Elderly Citizens Assistance Scheme (ECAS) organised across the 13 Local Government Areas and LCDAs under the district.
Senator Tinubu, who was represented at the event by the Itire-Ikate council chairman, Hon. (Dr) Ahmed Apatira, reeled out her stewardship at the Upper chamber where she represents Lagos Central senatorial district since 2011.

Senior citizens, including men and women were treated to sumptuous meals, cash and valuable gift items.

Tinubu also partnered with the Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA), to enrol over 1,300 senior citizens on ILERA EKO Health plan.

The council boss commended the Senator for her service to humanity and quality representation to the people of the Lagos Central and the state in general.

Apatira urged the senior citizens to collect their Permanent Voter Cards, while also encouraged the elderly to continue to support the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for a better and prosperous future.

He said, “This is one of the many avenues Senator Oluremi Tinubu appreciate and reduced the burden of needs of senior citizens across Local Government Areas and LCDAs in Lagos Central Senatorial district. With this gesture, Senator Tinubu, since the programme was initiated in 2011, has indeed made some significant impacts which cannot easily be matched.

To this end, I implore all our mothers and fathers, to reciprocate this good deed by collecting their PVCs and vote for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress come 2023.

Under Tinubu’s presidency, a renewed hope and prosperous future is assured for all Nigerians regardless of religious and ethnic affiliations.”
