Popular Social Entrepreneur, Sonnia Agu Reaffirms Commitment To Touching Lives

With over 7 years of strategic and diversified professional experience in Social Work, Media, Aviation, Oil and Gas, Sonnia Agu is a firm believer in the Nigeria dream.

Sonnia, a visionary social entrepreneur disclosed that she started her business primarily to make the community and the country at large a better place.

She narrated her journey into and passion for entrepreneurship, “When I returned to Nigeria in 2012 after I graduated from Eastern Mediterranean University, I started my foundation named-G1st International Foundation (www.g1st.org) and the Youth Community, The Sapio Club, (www.sapioclub.com).

“I was filled with so much passion, dreams and enthusiasm to touching lives. And the current situation of things in Nigeria birthed a desire to push harder. To the glory of God, the G1st foundation which started in 2013 is more or less a social enterprise while the Youth Community (The Sapio Club) started in 2015. And to be honest with you, I’m beginning to lose count on what we have done so far, as every day brings a different task with a need to share my talents and gifts via God’s grace from building libraries, to IT hubs, to starting and supporting other SMEs” Sonnia disclosed.

Sonnia further deepen her knowledge about social entrepreneurship at the Harvard Business School in 2019 where she became a certified entrepreneur in Emerging Economy course
